In 2008, I wrote a story for Metro Magazine entitled, “Gone Too Soon” (Cover blurb: Wife, Interrupted).
Three young widows, who all tragically lost their husbands before the age of 40, shared their stories of grief and recovery.
My editors at Metro Magazine were hesitant to run the story at first. They thought that the subject of widowhood would be somber, gloomy and depressing.
The stoyr ran in the June issue.
